Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler says a Gaffney man died in a house fire Saturday afternoon.
Fowler identified the victim as Blake Lee Spencer, 30, of Gaffney.
City of Gaffney firefighters were called to the house fire on 4th Street at 6:26 p.m.
When firefighters arrived a woman who was living at the location told authorities Spencer, who is confined to a wheelchair, was trapped in a bedroom.
Firefighters located Spencer's body near the bedroom door on the floor after the fire had been extinguished.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fowler said an autopsy has been ordered to assist with his investigation of the fire which is continuing.
