The first snow of the year hit in Greenville Friday morning, just a couple hours too late for kids to enjoy any school delays and closures.
Early reports of snow came from Travelor’s Rest around 8:30 a.m. Greenville and Simpsonville saw heavy snow at about 9:30 a.m.
It didn’t last long before turning from snow to slushy rain, but that brief moment of the falling flakes is still a rare treat.
