The Highway Patrol says a Greenwood woman is dead after being struck by two vehicles while she was attempting to cross a highway.

Master Trooper Brandon Bolt reports the collision happened Sunday evening just before 9PM on US Highway 25 near SC Highway 225 about 2 miles south of Greenwood.

The woman was first struck by a 2012 Mercedes Benz SUV which knocked her into the opposite lane where she was then struck by 1995 Ford F-150 pickup.

No one in either vehicle was injured.  The pedestrian died at the scene.

The Greenwood County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 45-year-old Cathy Joyce Hodge.

So far no charges have been against either driver.

The Highway Patrol is investigating.
