A man was found dead in a pond in Anderson County last week. Now, according to Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland, the shooting and killing of a man in Hart County in Georgia on Monday night may be connected to that incident.
Cleveland said a man was shot and found dead on Friendship Road along with a severely injured woman who had multiple stab wounds and was shot in the leg.
Hart County deputies began searching for the suspect and found a man Tuesday morning who matched the description of the suspect. Larrendrick Rashad Tabor was arrested then in the parking lot of a nearby elementary school.
Cleveland said he was considered a "person of interest" and that this shooting may be connected to the murder of 18-year-old Mericus J. Scott.
Scott's body was found dead with gunshot wounds in a retention pond in Anderson last Monday, January 20th.
