Hobart Lewis beat out A.T. Smith in Tuesday’s primary runoff for the Republican nomination for Greenville County Sheriff.
As of 9:50 PM with 99% of precincts reporting*, the Greenville County Election Commission website showed Hobart Lewis with 27,217 votes (72%) and A.T. Smith with 10,416 votes (28%).
Lewis had a strong lead throughout the night.
Lewis will face Democrat Paul Guy in the March 10th special election.
