Ingles Supermarkets just may be the Superman of Grocery Store Chains.
In a press release Ingles laid out its' latest efforts during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Supermarket is currently hiring 5,000 additional associates.
They've implemented a paid, Two-Week Coronavirus Leave Program for employees who test positive for the virus, modified their sick pay policy, beefed up their medical plans AND are giving out bonuses to those hired prior to March 1st.
Full time employees will get a one time pay-out of $300, part time, $150.
Robert Ingle II, Chairman of the Board, said the health and safety of customers and associates are their highest priority during the Pandemic.
He also stated "We understand our important role in providing food, medicine and other products to our customers. [and are] incredibly proud of how our associates have stepped up to the challenge to serve our local communities during this difficult time.”

This will provide some relief to our current associates and allow us to continue to focus on serving our customers while maintaining our enhanced cleaning standards.

Ingles Markets will provide a one-time bonus payment of $300 to full-time and $150 to part-time active retail, distribution, and corporate associates who were hired prior to March 1, 2020.
