Greenville County Schools is reminding parents to enroll their 5-year-olds in GCS or a private 5K before the start of school.
Those who plan to keep their 5-year-olds home and not engage in any type of schooling, including homeschooling, must complete the attached waiver and deliver it to their home-based (assigned by residence) school.
The school must retain this form.
It’s important to note that if parents/guardians keep their child out of 5K, the child will enter first grade the following year.
