The City of Greenville is partially reopening Main Street after hearing complaints from the community.
Main Street had previously been closed to vehicular traffic from East North to Washington and from Washington to McBee starting Friday May 8th.
According to a press release, some businesses on Main Street experienced a diminished customer flow as a result of the road closure.
The city will reopen the section of Main from North to Washington on the morning of Friday May 14th.
The section from Washington to McBee will remain closed to provide extended areas for walking and dining.
