A Spartanburg Sex Offender will spend the next 25 years behind bars.
During his trial Wednesday, Dennis J. Moss admitted to sexually assaulting his victim between Aug. 2017 and May 2018 at his home on Willow Wood Drive.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office was notified in June 20-18.
During a forensic examination at the Children's Advocacy Center, the victim was able to describe events that took place.
Moss plead guilty to first-degree AND third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor after the victim testified against him in trial.
Judge Keith Kelly sentenced Moss to 25 years, eligible for release after serving 20.
Moss will be added to the Sex Offender Registry and monitored by GPS (Global Positioning System) for the rest of his life.

A Spartanburg man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after he admitted to sexually assaulting a child.
Dennis J. Moss, 27, interrupted his trial today to plead guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Circuit Judge Keith Kelly issued a 25-year prison sentence on the first-degree charge and a consecutive 15-year prison sentence that was suspended to 5 years of probation.
Moss will have his name added to the Sex Offender Registry and he will be on lifetime GPS monitoring.
The crime was reported to the Sheriff’s Office on June 1, 2018.
Investigators determined the crime occurred on multiple occasions between Aug. 16, 2017 and May 31, 2018 at Moss’ Willow Wood Drive home.
The victim described the events in detail during a forensic examination at the Children’s Advocacy Center.
Moss entered his guilty plea after the victim testified against him during the trial.
Assistant Solicitor Wendy Hallford prosecuted the case.
Moss will serve more than 20 years of Circuit Judge Keith Kelly’s prison sentence before he is eligible for release.
