A moped driver was hit early Sunday morning following a police chase in Anderson County.
Deputies were called QT in Powdersville for shoplifting.
The suspects fled the scene in a Chrysler 300, which reportedly has been used in multiple shoplifting cases in the area.
They did not stop for blue lights.
As they tried to escape, they hit a moped and crashed the Chrysler.
The moped driver was alert and concious at the scene. They were taken to a local hospital.
The suspects tried to flee on foot.
The driver was arrested. A K-9 was used to find the passneger suspect, but they were not located.
One deputy was injured while trying to take the suspect driver into custody.
The suspect driver has several charges.
The crash is still under investigation.
