The new Greenville County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit was announced today.
The project was a collaboration between chiefs of police in Mauldin, Simpsonville, Greer, Fountain Inn, Greenville, Sheriff Johnny Mack Brown and solicitor Walt Wilkins.
It's focus is to attack exclusively major drug dealers in the county.
This will be the sole focus of 24 officers headquartered at undiclosed location.
"If you are a drug dealer in Greenville County, I look forward to this unit meeting you," Wilkins said.
