Oconee County Sheriff's Deputies picked up an accused drug dealer during a safety checkpoint Friday night at the intersection of Friendship and Sitton Mill Roads.
51 year old Jerry Eugene Poole, Jr. was charged with trafficking meth and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center where he received more charges, possession and intent to distribute herion, and served his arrest warrants.
43 year old Tequila Ann Poole, present at the checkpoint, was also arrested and charged by Highway Patrol.
Poole, Jr. posted the 40 thousand dollar bond and was released Monday.
Tequila Poole remains in custody on 12 thousand dollars bond.
