The Williamston Fire Department reports that a man was taken to a hospital after being hit by a car, while he was trying help a dog in the road that had been struck by another vehicle.
In a Facebook post, the Williamston Fire Department said it happened around 9 p.m. on East Main Street. No word this morning on the condition of the man or the dog he was trying to help.
