Two upstate legislators have introduced a bill in the State House in Columbia to name the intersection of I-85 and I-385 in Greenville County for President Trump.

A bill known as H. 5009, names the intersection as "President Donald J. Trump Interchange" and directs the SC DOT to erect signs with such a designation.

The concurrent resolution was introduced on January 22 in the General Assembly by Republican State Representatives Stewart Jones of Laurens and Jonathon Hill of Townville.

In the text of the bill, the resolution says President Trump is "fighting tirelessly for American values" and states that the President has "kept his promises to improve the economy, build the wall, defund Planned Parenthood, cut ISIS off at the head, and stop endless wars".

The bill has been referred to the Committee on Invitations and Memorial Resolutions.
