At www.Justice.gov/coronavirus, the DOJ shares a variety of COVID-19 scams that are out there such as fake cures, emails posing as the World Health Organization or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, illegitimate organizations seeking donations and malicious websites and apps that hold your device hostage until payment is received.
If you suspect COVID-19 Fraud, are a victim of COVID-19 Fraud, report it immediately.
The U.S. Department of Treasury also has information regarding COVID-19 scams.
If you receive any communication, calls or emails, that state they are from the Treasury Department and offering Coronavirus grants or stimulus payments, it is a scam.
