The South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking the public to assist in solving multiple hit and run collisions, some fatal.

Trooper Joe Hovis with the SCHP provided flyer information on each case, which is found below.


There are currently five cases Deputies are working on in Anderson and Oconee Counties.

Tips leading to an arrest could earn a cash reward of up to $2,000.00.

In order from most recent:  

A suspect is still being sought in a hit and run June 27th in Anderson County.  Trooper Joe Hovis with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says the driver of a moped was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle on Clemson Blvd, Highway 76, shortly after 1am on June 27th.  The crash happened near Lakeside Road.  The suspect vehicle fled the scene, but is described as a small to medium sized passenger car, light in color.  The vehicle possibly has damage to its front.  If you have any information about this collision or about the vehicle of interest, call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.

Hit and Run crash involving a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle and critically injured.  The crash happened June 26th shortly after 7:00am on Pickens Drive near Six and Twenty Road in Anderson County.  

The vehicle fled the scene.  SCHP says the suspect vehicle may have damage to the right front passenger side including headlight damage.

Hit and Run collision involving a moped and its' rider.  The passenger was critically injured.  The crash happened June 18th shortly after 10:00pm on Belton Highway, Highway 76, near Secondary 664 near Honea Path.

The vehicle in question fled the scene.  The suspect vehicle is a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup in the Lariat, King Ranch or Platinum model.  Color unknown. 

SCHP says the vehicle should have damage to the passenger front side and the passenger mirror may also be missing.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking information about a fatal Hit and Run collision involving a pedestrian.  The crash happened June 2nd, around 10:45pm on Highway 76 near Phil Watson Road in Anderson.  The suspect vehicle fled the scene after striking the pedestrian who died from injuries.   Very little information about the suspect vehicle is known, but Highway Patrol says there could be damage to the front driver’s side of the vehicle.  If you have any information about this collision or about the vehicle of interest, contact the Anderson Area Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.

Hit and Run involving a pedestrian who ws injured.  The collision happened February 3rd shortly before 7:00pm on Friendship Road near Secondary 54 in Oconee County.

The suspect vehicle, a 2000-2007 Chevy Silverado pickup left the scene on Friendship Road.  The color of the vehicle is unknown.  SCHP says their should be damage to the passenger side of the truck and my also be missing the passenger side mirror.
