Serving a warrant turns into a pursuit!

Monday night, Greenville County Deputies were attempting to serve a warrant on Michael David Brown.

While at the Chestnut Ridge Road location, Brown tried to escape by fleeing in his vehicle.

After hitting a deputy patrol vehicle, a chase ensued.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office took Brown into custody after he wrecked his vehicle near Miller's Pond Road. He was transported to the hospital.

Now Brown faces more charges according to Master Deputy Jason Cox.

According to a press release, neither deputies or Brown were injured.

According to arresting documents, Brown has been charged with Assault and Battery 3rd Degree.

Tonight [Monday] deputies from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to serve a warrant on a subject, Michael David Brown near Chestnut Ridge Rd. when he attempted to flee in his vehicle striking a deputies patrol car.  There was a vehicle pursuit to the area of Miller’s Pond Rd where Brown wrecked his vehicle.  He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital with more charges pending.  Neither Brown or any of the deputies were injured in the pursuit.  As more information comes available, an update will be sent out.
