The Spartanburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place just after midnight on May 12th.
An unknown suspect fired upon a driver and passenger in a 2008 Honda Accord.
The passenger was struck in the back once; the vehicle was hit several times.
The shooting happened near Beacon Street and Daniel Morgan Avenue.
The victim was taken by EMS to Spartanburg Hospital System.
The victim and driver report they did not see anyone or any vehicles in the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
