A fatal single car crash happened on Friday in Spartanburg County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports the crash happened around 4:45 PM on US Highway 221 near Successful Way. The seatbelted driver of a van went off the road and hit a brick column and tree.
They were taken by EMS to a local hospital where they later died. The crash is still under investigation.
