Spartanburg Man Charged

Attempted Murder

One Upstate man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after a dispute last week.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office reports 28 year old Darrin Anderson was involved in an argument with the victims on March 19th.

One of the victims said he went into a back room after the argument and got a handgun.  

He then fired on the victim, missing her.  

She and her family escaped without injury.

Deputies report that when the victim's son returned to the house later to get some possessions Anderson came back into the house and fired two shots at him.

Anderson missed again; the victim was uninjured.

Shortly after, warrants for Anderson's arrest were issued and he was arrested.

Anderson has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He has been detained at the Spartanburg County Jail.
