Released by GCS.
Students entering the 7th grade are required by state law to receive 1 dose of Tdap vaccine which protects children from three serious diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough).
This vaccine has been required for rising 7th graders since 2013-14.
The Tdap vaccine is given by health care providers, many pharmacies, and the Greenville County Health Department.
Schools will need a proof of vaccination from one of these providers in order for the student to attend.
