
SC Highway Patrol Master Trooper Brandon Bolt reports two people died at the scene of a collision in Pickens County.
The collision occured about 1:30AM Sunday morning on Old Cherry Road near Old Stone Church Road, one mile south of Clemson.
The driver of a 2014 Subaru BRZ ran off the roadway where the car struck a utility poll and rolled over in a field.
The driver and the left rear passenger had to be mechanically extricated from the vehicle and were declared dead at the scene. The driver was the only occupant wearing a seat belt.
Two passengers were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. One of those passengers died Sunday.
The Pickens County Coroner's Office has identified the two people who died at the scene as 20-year-old Divonte Elijah Black and 16-year-old Lenae An'Elise Cessa Ridge.
The passenger that died at the hospital has not yet been identified.
