Tigers for Tigers.

Clemson University has made the commitment to save tigers worldwide.

They have joined Auburn, Louisiana State and the University of Missouri (all their mascots are Tigers)  to form the Tigers United University Consortium.

According to TigersUnited.org, Clemson's President James Clement started the Consortium with the goal of saving tigers worldwide and doubling their numbers by 20-22.

Right now it's estimated there are fewer than 4000 tigers in the wild.

The four universities will share their expertise for tiger conservation and protection.

Clemson's Clements serves on the Global Tiger Initiative Council.

Clemson battles L-S-U for the College Football National Championship, Monday January 13th in New Orleans.
