A fatal wreck on Highway 221 in Laurens tied up traffic for hours Monday.
The Laurens County coroner said that 28 year-old Michael Thomas Wessel of Greenwood was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer.
The wreck was reported just after 12:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 221 near Harris Springs Road.
