One Dead In Shooting

Lt. Ryan Flood, the Public Information Officer for the Greenville County Sheriff's Office issued the following statement Friday afternoon.

This afternoon, at around 1:30pm, deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wal-Mart, located at 6134 White Horse rd regarding a shooting. 
Once deputies arrived on scene, they located an adult male victim, who suffered from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased.
Deputies were able to ascertain a suspect description quickly and took him into custody a short distance from the incident location.
Investigators have learned this was an isolated shooting as preliminary information reveals the suspect and victim were familiar with each other and the shooting was a result of some type of dispute.

The name of the victim and the suspect as well as charges are not yet available.  Lt. Flood said that the Walmart location was cooperating with the investigation and will be temporary closed as the crime scene is investigated.

Just after 5:30PM, Lt. Ryan Flood issued an update.  Investigators have charged 33 year-old, Braylon Lamar Morris with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a violent Crime.

Morris is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
