The Oconee County Sheriff's Office issued the following press release Friday afternoon.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Mark Monroe Crowe of Salem on charges of Abuse or Neglect of Adult Resulting in Death, Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, and Introduction of Contraband In to a Jail.
On May 6th, 2019 Oconee County Sheriff’s Deputies and EMS responded to Sarah’s Dogwood Lane in Salem in response to a medical life alert alarm. Upon deputies’ and EMS’ arrival to the scene, Mark Monroe Crowe was encountered and Tina Lynette Crowe was found deceased.
An investigation discovered evidence to charge Mark Monroe Crowe with Abuse or Neglect of Adult Resulting in Death. Mark Monroe Crowe was arrested on July 3rd, 2019 for this charge and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center.
Upon Crowe’s arrival to the Oconee County Detention Center, methamphetamine was discovered in the in the cargo pocket of his pants, leading to additional drug charges of: Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Introduction of Contraband In to a Jail.
