A collision near the North Carolina state line Monday ends in fatality.
Joel Hovis with the South Carolina Department of Public Safety reported 21 year old Breanna Roper of Central was traveling North on U.S. 25 around 10:15pm Monday night when a Southbound driver crossed the center line and hit her head on. Roper was wearing her seatbelt.
Roper was transported to Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
The Southbound driver, in a Kia, was wearing their seatbelt but but was trapped in their vehicle. The driver later succomed to injuries and died at the scene.
We contacted Mission Hospital, they were unable to confirm the status of Roper's condition.
