A Wisconsin family reunited with its missing dog Tuesday nearly two years after it went missing when the father spotted the canine in a local news segment about adoptable pets.
A WITI-TV viewer named Dwight contacted the Milwaukee FOX television station after recognizing his family’s missing dog featured during a weekly adoption segment.

Dwight said they’d been looking for the pup, named Payday, for about two years. They had adopted him as a companion for their 12-year-old daughter. But, unfortunately, she had never recovered from losing him.
Dwight typically turns his television off at night, the Wisconsin Humane Society said in a Facebook post. But as fate would have it, he left it on Monday night, letting him catch Payday’s television debut that following day.
The family was so excited to locate Payday they reunited with the little brown dog that same day.
“It was the most incredible reunion,” said the animal group. “We are beyond ecstatic for this amazing family to finally be whole again.”
