The newest White House dogs, Major and Champ Biden, are making their Super Bowl Sunday debut alongside first lady Jill Biden to promote wearing masks during Puppy Bowl XVII.

A video of the public service announcement, which will officially air on Sunday, calls on all Americans to continue to wear a mask to combat the spread of coronavirus.

The announcement features the two adorable German shepherds sitting at the foot of the President’s chair in front of a fireplace in the White House, The Hill reported.

The First Lady shares how dogs have provided unconditional love and company for many people facing the hardships and social isolation during the pandemic. She jokes that her pooches may even be responsible for "a bark or two on a video conference."

"We owe it to them to keep ourselves healthy," Biden continued. "So please keep wearing your masks, even when you're out walking your dog."

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently urged football fans watching the game to avoid gathering for viewing parties.

“As much fun as it is to get together in a big Super Bowl party, now is not the time to do that," Dr. Anthony Fauci recently said.

Puppy Bowl XVII will air on Animal Planet shortly before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LV, which starts at 6:30 p.m.
