Activity at the Hennepin County Courthouse is limited on Friday with the sentencing of Derek Chauvin scheduled to take place.
One man who was inside the courthouse, and on the jury during the high-profile trial, said he believes the proper sentence will be handed down by Judge Peter Cahill.
"I'm kind of indifferent on the exact time that he may give," Mitchell told Mike Max on the WCCO Morning News. "I know the judge is going to do a really good job at really choosing what's right."
Mitchell said he and the rest of the jury had a three-hour meeting following the verdict, where he revealed to them what happened during the trial that they weren't allowed to see.
"We could ask him whatever, and he was keeping it pretty straight forward. It was great."
Mitchell was the first juror to go public following the verdict.
