A suspect is dead after an officer involved shooting in the Upstate over the weekend. The Easley Police Department responded to a domestic dispute around 230 Saturday afternoon at a home on Scott Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman and child outside, but the suspect re-entered the home. He refused to leave and then encountered officers while armed. Police then fired and killed the suspect. He's been identified as 35 year old, Daniel McGoldrick.
SLED is investigating the incident which is standard protocol in officer involved shootings. This marks the 3rd such incident for the Easley PD this year and the 2nd in a week's time. SLED says no additional details will be made public at this time.
