An Abbeville County man will spend more than a decade behind bars on drug trafficking and a deadly DUI crash. 8th Circuit Solicitor David Stumbo says Dasurah Dever Pulley pleaded guilty to charges of fatal DUI, meth trafficking and failure to stop for blue lights.

Officials say, the charges came from separate incidents. The felony DUI charge came after a crash last year that killed the other driver, Elizabeth Brown. Just a few months later while out on bond, Pulley fled from police in a vehicle. Pulley also was sentenced for failure to stop, which stemmed from that incident.

Pulley has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the DUI crash and meth trafficking. His 5 year sentence for failure to stop will run concurrently. Pulley will have to serve 85% of his sentence before being eligible for early release.
