Congressman William Timmons and State Representative Adam Morgan are engaged in a political battle for the 4th District Congressional seat. That race is expected to continue to heat up as the June Primary approaches. Both men spoke at the Greenvile County Republican Party meeting, Monday night.
Morgan went first and addressed his stance on the various issues. Timmons then spoke right after Morgan saying "That was full of lies and your record is one of being ineffective. You and your group (SC Freedom Caucus) are the biggest impediment to succeeding in South Carolina on conservative issues".
On Tuesday's show Charlie James took calls from supporters of both candidates. Then Morgan joined the program and responded to the comments Timmons had made Monday night.
Morgan then stated that much of what the Timmons campaign has been critical of him for, has no gravitas. Morgan said of Timmons "All he can run on is fake rumors and aspersions. The Freedom Caucus is the main fighter for the America first movement, here in South Carolina. "
