A Cherokee County man is facing prison time after being arrested on child sex crime charges. The South Carolina Attorney General's Office says, 35 year old Michael Williams of Gaffney is charged with 3rd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Gaffney Police Department made the arrest and investigators from the Attorney Genera's Office Crimes Against Children Unit assisted in the investigation. Williams reportedly possessed multiple files containing images of child sexual abuse.
Williams faces up to 10 years in prison, the SCAG's Office is set to prosecute the case.
