Today (Tuesday November 2nd) marks election day around the Upstate and state of South Carolina. There are no statewide races in this election, however there is a plethora of local elections across the Upstate. In the past few years, there's been much talk about voting laws and requirements. In fact, Georgia voting laws became such a point of controversy, that Major League Baseball pulled the All-Star Game out of Atlanta earlier this year. In South Carolina, voter identification is required and voters must be registered for at least 30 days prior to the election to be eligible to vote.
