Are you surprised with how Joe Cunningham did in the election?

The end result of the South Carolina Gubernatorial election was no surprise. I think everyone expected Governor McMaster to win. He did just that, taking 58% of the vote, unofficially. I was somewhat surprised in how Joe Cunningham did, in garnering 40% of the vote. Cunningham had campaigned on various issues, abortion being one and another major one was eliminating state income taxes. Cunningham had proposed legalizing marijuana and sports betting in South Carolina to help fund that plan. Were you surprised that Cunningham got 40% of the vote? Let us know, below.
