An arrest announced in the mysterious shooting case from earlier this week in Greenville.
A section of Augusta Road was shut down earlier this week after a person was discovered in what was believed to be a crash on Wednesday.
Upon further investigation, the victim was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to a nearby hospital. No update has yet been given on their condition.
During the investigation, a cell phone video was found implicating that the suspect, now identified as 34-year-old Steven James Strickland had attempted to shoot and kill the unidentified victim as part of a road rage incident.
Strickland was arrested on charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and discharging a firearm into a vehicle. He is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on no bond.
