A suspect is in custody after a deadly shooting at a gas station in Anderson. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office responded to the Sunoco on West Whitner Street, around 10:30AM Monday. The Coroner's Office confirmed that 29 year old, Darius Malik Bell was found dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds.
Sheriff's Office Detectives have announced the arrest of 21 year old, Qua'Thaddeus Thompson on charges of murder, and multiple weapons violations. Authorities are still trying to determine a motive, but did say the victim and Thompson knew each other.
Thompson has been booked into the Anderson County Detention Center. He's expected to appear for a bond hearing, Tuesday.
