An arrest has been made after a fatal hit and run in Greenwood County over the weekend. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 6:30 Friday morning on Highway 185 near the town of Hodges.
Troopers say a bicycle collided with a Ford pickup and the bicyclist died following the crash. The victim has been identified as Michael Bryan Hayes. On Saturday night, the Highway Patrol found the truck involved in the crash.
The suspect driver 26 year old, Tristin Frank McClain was arrested and is charged with fatal hit and run. McClain was then booked into the Greenwood County Detention Center.
