The suspect wanted after a woman was fatally shot at her workplace in Piedmont, Friday morning is now in custody. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says that 32 year old Derek Snyder was arrested near Buford, Georgia, a few hours after the shooting.
Snyder is charged with murder and a weapons violation. The victim identified, as 36 year old Katy Brooke Jones was an employed at NRTC Automation where the shooting occurred.
The Sheriff's Office says Snyder was previously employed there. The arrest comes after Snyder allegedly shot Jones multiple times in the parking lot when she arrived, this morning. Snyder is being held in Gwinnett County and is awaiting extradition.
