A suspect is in custody after police say he fired shots inside the city limits of an Upstate town, over the weekend. The Union Police Department says, officers were clearing traffic on Keenan Avenue Sunday, as an event was going on in the area.
They then responded after hearing three shots ring out. The department says, the suspect 32 year old, Derrick Jaron Rice fled the scene and was later found hiding between two cars on North Pickney Street.
Rice was taken into custody and is charged with firing a gun inside city limits and a weapons violation.
