An arrest has been made following a standoff in Greenville County Wednesday night. The incident happened around 10:45 Wednesday night on Boyd Avenue in Simpsonville. Police say, 43 year old Mark Cureton strapped the child to his chest and told police they would have to kill him in front of the child.
The Greenville County SWAT Team was able to persuade Cureton to give himself up and he was taken into custody without incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident. Cureton faces charges of kidnapping and unlawful neglect of a child.
