An arrest has been made following an Upstate stabbing on New Year’s eve. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 35 year old, Matthew Edward Mcnicholas in connection with a stabbing that injured another man after an altercation.

Mcnicholas faces charges of Attempted Murder and Possession Of A Weapon During A Violent Crime.
The victim is expected to recover, Mcnicholas is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.
