An arrest has now been made in connection to the cold case death of an Upstate woman. In February of 2020, the Mauldin Police Department responded to a call at the Park View Apartments.
Upon arrival they found a woman dead at the scene. The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the woman as 29 year old, Alex Andrea Liddy and ruled her death a homicide.
Now more than four years later police in Mauldin have made an arrest in the case. 44 year old, Derek Williams of Greenville has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to Liddy's death.
Williams is already incarcerated at the Greenville County Detention Center on unrelated charges
