An arrest has been announced one year after fatal crash in the Upstate involving an alleged drunk driver. The Greer Police Department responded to a crash at West Wade Hampton Boulevard and Memorial Drive on Halloween of last year.
Police say, two cars collided at the intersection, which caused one of the them to hit a pedestrian who was standing on the sidewalk. The pedestrian identified as Charles Ankrum, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
After a long investigation a suspect, named Joshua Michael Newby has been arrested and is charged with felony DUI causing death.
