The search of a home in Laurens County resulted in multiple drug charges after various substances and weapons were discovered.
The Laurens Police Department said a targeted search warrant was issued on a Russell Street location following an investigation into Demorris Cornelius Boyd.
In the search, “significant amounts” of cocaine was found alongside various unlawfully owned firearms, one of which was a handgun reported stolen back in 2009.
Sixteen charges are levied against Boyd in total, including multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of cocaine, roughly a dozen charges related to the various firearms, one charge on the possession of over 600 rounds of ammunition, and a final charge on the possession of body armor by a felon.
The body armor was also found to have nine bullet holes in it, and two vehicles were also seized in the case.
