At least seven dead & more injured after dock collapse in GA Coast

A dock collapse over the weekend on the Georgia coast left at least 7 people dead. The Georgia DNR says the incident happened during the Cultural Day Celebration on Sapelo Island.

About two dozen people fell into the water when the Marsh Landing Dock collapsed just before 4PM, Saturday. The DNR responded by deploying boats and helicopters to rescue those in the water.

In addition to those who died in the incident, 6 others were critically injured and were airlifted to the hospital.
