An investigation is ongoing after a body was found in a Western North Carolina lake over the weekend. Officials say, that witnesses reported seeing the body floating in the water of Fontana Lake in Swain County, about 60 miles southwest of Asheville.
Swain County Deputies were dispatched Saturday and were able to locate and retrieve the body from the water. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released and autopsy results are still pending.
