Bomb threat causes lockdown at Upstate high school

A bomb threat Thursday morning prompted a lockdown at an Upstate school. Deputies responded to Abbeville High School around 9:45 AM after the threat was made.

School District officials said the school was evacuated safely. Abbeville County Sheriff Ray Watson says, rumors that a student had a gun turned out to be false.

The school resumed normal schedule after the threat was determined to be not be credible.
