A bomb scare at an Upstate grocery store proved to be an empty threat, Thursday afternoon. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says around 2:30 PM two calls came in regarding bomb threats at the Food Lion at Bi-lo place in Seneca.
Oconee County deputies evacuated the store. A bomb tech from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, bomb detection dogs from Clemson University Police Department and SLED agents all responded to the scene.
A thorough search of the building found there was no credible threat and people were allowed back in just after 4 PM.
No arrests have been made in connection to the threat, as of the time of this report. The incident remains under investigation.
